The latest verision of the Precision Xtra is quite small and weighs just over 1.5 ounces, making it easy to carry around. The glucose test strip requires only 0.6 microliters of blood and produces results in just 5 seconds. The latest ketone strip requires 1.5 microliters of blood and produces results in 10 seconds. These improvements make the Precision Xtra highly recommended. THis makes checking ketone levels so much easier. Just a small blood sample and we have a farely accurate reading for ketone levels.
If only the test strips were not so expensive, it is a wonderful and useful tool for the parents of type 1 diabetics or probaly all diabetics.
